Step-by-step support · Account security

Sign in, use a magic link or recover a password

Use the correct account email and keep recovery links private.

Use your email

Open app.cambackup.com/login and enter your email and password. The registration form does not need a username. Avoid creating a second account when you are trying to recover the first.

Request a magic link if needed

Choose email-link sign-in and request a new link. Complete it in the browser that started the request and confirm the sign-in action. Links are short-lived, single-use and browser-bound; forwarding them to another browser may fail.

Use connected Google sign-in

Choose Google only when the provider is available. Connecting a provider to an existing account requires proof of that account and explicit linking; matching email addresses alone do not merge accounts. Complete MFA if the account requires it.

Reset a forgotten password

Request a reset email, use the newest valid link and set a unique password. Old sessions and developer credentials are revoked. MFA remains enabled; use the authenticator or recovery code when signing in again.

What success looks like

You reach the intended account and can verify its email and cameras after sign-in.

If it does not work

Check the email spelling, spam folder and whether the browser changed. Requesting many links can invalidate earlier ones. Contact support without disclosing passwords, reset links, OTPs or recovery codes.

Still stuck?

Contact CamBackup support with safe error text, time/timezone and the steps tried. Never send passwords, tokens, OTPs, recovery codes or credential-bearing camera addresses.
