A live view that fits your website.

Publish an approved weather, construction or other suitable public view with a responsive CamBackup widget. Keep account credentials out of the page and control the share from one place.

An eligible camera and a deliberate public view

Widgets and public stream links require an active confirmed Power or Business subscription on the exact camera being shared. A higher-tier subscription on another camera does not unlock this one. Review proposed plans and current availability.

Public means anyone with the link

Viewers need no CamBackup account and can pass the link on, take screenshots or record the picture. Review privacy, audio, masks and any local obligations before publishing. This is not a private team-access control.

Create the share and copy its embed

  1. Sign into the app and check the camera’s fresh live output and capture policy.
  2. Open Public streams, choose an eligible camera and create the share.
  3. Use Embed to copy the code. Paste it into the host website’s HTML/embed block.
  4. Open the page signed out of CamBackup and test actual playback.
<iframe src="https://app.cambackup.com/embed/PUBLIC_SHARE_KEY" title="CamBackup live camera" style="width:100%;aspect-ratio:16/9;border:0;border-radius:12px" loading="lazy" referrerpolicy="no-referrer" sandbox="allow-scripts allow-same-origin" allow="autoplay; fullscreen; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe>

PUBLIC_SHARE_KEY is a placeholder. Copy the real share’s code from your own account. Never replace it with a login token, developer credential, camera URL or storage-provider address. The iframe plays through the CamBackup app and its authorised public media routes.

Check the host page

  • Keep a responsive aspect ratio and a meaningful iframe title.
  • Allow https://app.cambackup.com in your host site’s frame-src policy if CSP is enabled. Change only the necessary policy.
  • Test mobile layout, fullscreen and browser autoplay behaviour. A viewer may need to press Play.
  • Keep the supplied referrer and sandbox attributes. Do not add analytics containing the share key.
  • Provide a helpful nearby explanation if the feed is unavailable. Do not promise uninterrupted or zero-latency video.

Stop sharing and verify it

Deactivate the share to stop serving new requests, or replace the key to invalidate the old address. Current account, camera, share and plan are checked on public playback, including segments. Downgrading below the eligible camera plan pauses public delivery. You can still disable/delete the share after losing eligibility.

Test both the old direct address and embedded page after revocation. Already downloaded or buffered bytes cannot be recalled. An unavailable view may mean a disabled share, ineligible camera or missing source; the public response deliberately avoids private details. Use the signed-in camera view to investigate.
