Step-by-step support · Recording

Create and download a video clip

Keep a useful recorded interval as a verified local file.

Choose camera and time

Open the recorded timeline and find the interval. Include enough context before and after the event. Note the timezone and any visible gaps.

Request the export

Choose the available clip/export action and a bounded interval. Watch the job state while the worker prepares the file. Avoid submitting the same request repeatedly while it is pending.

Download the finished file

Open Video clips when the export is ready and use Download. CamBackup authorises the request and delivers media through its own domain. A temporary playback capability is still private; do not paste it into public tools.

Play and preserve

Open the file locally and check the beginning, middle and end. Preserve the original unchanged if it relates to an incident; keep annotations in a separate copy. Apply an appropriate access and deletion process to local files.

What success looks like

The downloaded file plays the intended camera and interval without relying on a signed-in browser session.

If it does not work

Check the job result, confirmed segment coverage and recording gaps. Report the job identifier and safe error message to support; never send a live credential or private playback URL publicly.

Still stuck?

Contact CamBackup support with safe error text, time/timezone and the steps tried. Never send passwords, tokens, OTPs, recovery codes or credential-bearing camera addresses.
