Step-by-step support · Recording

Start recording and use the timeline

Find confirmed footage, understand gaps and inspect a useful interval.

Review the capture settings

Open the camera settings and check audio, privacy masks and other capture controls. Stop acquisition before editing policies. Save the current revision and verify fresh output.

Request recording

Use the camera recording control to start. A connecting or queued state describes work in progress. Wait for confirmed saved segments and investigate any entitlement or connection message instead of repeatedly toggling the control.

Find an interval

Open the camera timeline, choose the relevant time and inspect available recorded intervals. Keep the displayed timezone in mind. A missing interval is a gap, not proof that nothing happened in the scene.

Verify the selected footage

Play across the interval and create a short clip if needed. Wait for the export job to complete and play the downloaded result. Stop recording when appropriate; existing saved footage remains subject to its retention and deletion rules.

What success looks like

A newly saved interval plays and its time corresponds to the expected scene.

If it does not work

If live works but recording does not, check entitlement, storage allowance, desired recording state and worker/connection observations. A job request alone does not prove media exists.
