Set privacy masks and audio policy

Change new capture output deliberately and check the stored result.

Stop acquisition

Stop recording and close active live acquisition before editing capture settings. A busy response means the settings cannot safely change yet. Wait for the camera to settle.

Edit the policy

Draw fixed opaque masks over source areas that should be hidden. Decide explicitly whether audio is needed. Masks follow source coordinates, so moving the camera requires another review.

Save once

Save the current policy revision. If someone changed it in another session, reload and review rather than overwriting their changes. Enable the intended acquisition again.

Check fresh outputs

Inspect new live video, a newly recorded segment and a fresh snapshot or clip. Listen to an exported video to verify audio policy; browser mute does not remove a stored audio track.

What success looks like

New cloud output excludes the masked area and follows the intended audio policy.

If it does not work

Old footage and downloads are not retroactively redacted. Local gateway preview precedes cloud masks. Stop acquisition and recheck the policy if the actual new output differs.
